Egypt: Cairo Women's Health Book Collective

Arabic-cover

Project Update

In the early 90s, the Cairo Women's Health Book Collective produced an Arabic book inspired by Our Bodies, Ourselves called Women's Health and Lives in Egypt.
The organization is no longer active and the book no longer in print.

Subsequently, the OBOS Global Initiative received requests from other women's organizations and academic institutions to publish an updated pan-Arabic edition.

The program is now working with an organization is Israel, Women and Their Bodies, on Arabic booklets for Israel, the Palestinian Territories and other Arabic-speaking countries in the region. These resources will be published in 2011.
