China: Chinese Women's Health Network

Project Update A Chinese adaptation of Our Bodies, Ourselves was first published in 1998, followed by a third print run in 1999.  This resource was coordinated by the Chinese Women’s Health Network - an organization that is no longer active - and published by the Encyclopedia Publishing House of China. It was highlighted during a visit to the country by Hillary Clinton soon after publication. Plans to publish a revision were put on hold due to inadequate funding.The OBOS Global Initiative is now working with another organization that is using excerpts from Our Bodies, Ourselves to develop resources in print and digital format.

The publisher charges around $70 to sell the book abroad and it can also be purchased in bookstores in China for $20.
